Four day extravaganza as fair rolls into March

All the fun of the fair comes to March tomorrow, October 11, as the town's popular Statute Fair returns.

Stanley Thurston and Sons Family Fun Fair will be in City Road car park until Saturday, October 14, with lots of traditional thrills and spills for all the family.

The fair usually comes to town in September, but it would have clashed with the Peterborough Bridge Fair. Showmen decided to change the date to October to ensure rides were available for March residents to enjoy.

Promising something for all ages, the fair will have a host of fairground rides, including Daredevil, Twister, dodgems and a carousel, along with games, sweets, candy floss and hot and cold snacks.

There is also a special reduced price night on Thursday, October 12, when all rides will be £1 (dodgems £2 a car).

The fair will be open from 6pm to 10pm weekdays and from 2pm to 10pm on Saturday.
