Food safety training for businesses

Do you run a food business in Fenland? Want to improve the food safety knowledge and skills of yourself or your staff? Do you wish to achieve the highest Food Hygiene Rating possible? Then Fenland District Council's next Food Safety Course could help.

Food hygiene

The one-day course is being held at the Council's offices in Melbourne Avenue, March, on Wednesday, February 28, and is suitable for anyone working in an environment where food is prepared, cooked or handled.

The course is delivered by the Council's experienced Environmental Health Officers, who carry out food hygiene inspections across Fenland.

Delegates will receive the latest food safety updates, advice and guidance from the Food Standards Agency, and course tutor Dawn Sadler will share her experiences and observations from her inspections of premises and the different situations she encounters.

There will also be an opportunity to discuss the Food Standards Agency Food Hygiene Rating system, with information on how to improve and maintain a high rating.

Other topics will include how to prevent food poisoning, effective cleaning of food premises and the importance on effective hand washing.
