The Cambridgeshire Information Sharing Framework has been developed by a number of public organisations within the county. It is series of documents which cover our obligations under the Data Protection Act around sharing information.
Its aim is to facilitate more effective data sharing across Cambridgeshire with the aim of improving service delivery, as well as enabling each organisation to respond quickly to their customers needs. Information can only be shared in the right circumstances and when it is appropriate and legal to do so and the purpose of this framework is to make sure that all of the involved parties understand and comply with these obligations.
The Framework can also be used to ensure each partner organisation sets and maintains expectations to make sure that information which they share will be handled in the same way across the agreement.
What is it? Who does it apply to? What will it be used for?
