There may be a number of reasons why your bin hasn't been collected. Find out what to do next.
Have you subscribed to our service (brown bin only)?
The brown bin service is a subscription only service. To have a brown bin collected, you will need a subscription sticker clearly displayed on each of your brown bins. More information about our garden waste service
Was your bin out on time?
We ask that your bin is out by 7am on your collection day. Check your collection day.
Have we got to your street yet?
Occasionally factors out of our control may delay us in collecting your bins. If we haven't arrived by 4.30pm then please contact us.
Were your bins left in the right place?
You need to leave your bin at the edge of your premises where it meets the public highway. If you have an Assisted Collection, it cannot be left behind locked gates or where it is dangerous for a crew member to collect it.
Sometimes road works or parked cars may delay us from collecting your bins
Have you put the right things in the right bin?
Please make sure you put the right items in your bins, as if they are contaminated we may be unable to collect them. Check what goes in your bins
Bin too heavy
If your bin is too heavy for our refuse collectors to move, please take out some of the heavy materials.
Bin too full
We do not collect excess waste that is put next to the bin unless it is a clear sack full of recycling that is put out at the same time as your blue bin. Remember, you can take excess waste to Household Recycling Centres for free.
