Draft Statement of Community Involvement on planning matters
In August 2023, we shared a new draft Statement of Community Involvement (SCI), which sets out how we will consult on planning applications, emerging planning policy and neighbourhood planning.
We invited comments to allow us to shape and improve the draft document. The draft document was available online with paper copies available to view at a number of locations across Fenland.
The SCI is a statutory document, required by national legislation. Once approved the new SCI will replace the existing SCI adopted in 2018. The draft document incorporates Government guidance and planning law.
The consultation on the draft SCI closed on Sunday 1st October 2023. The draft SCI will now be updated and go back before Fenland District Council's Cabinet for approval.
