Councillor Chambers presented the Confidential Report on the Freehold Disposal of Former Gas Works Site (Lot 3) at the Nene Waterfront Regeneration Area, Wisbech, to consider the Cabinet decision made on 29 August 2013, further to the provisions of 'Call in' contained within section 18 of the Overview and Scrutiny Procedure Rules.


Members agreed to accept the decision made by cabinet on 29 August 2013 as follows:


  • The offer submitted, subject to planning approval, is acceptable to the Council;

  • The detailed terms of the disposal, along with the potential negotiation on Section 106 requirements and HCA financial assistance, be delegated to the Corporate Director (Growth and Infrastructure) and Corporate Director (Finance) in consultation with the Deputy Leader.
