C23/12 TO SIGN AND CONFIRM THE MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF 13 SEPTEMBER 2012
It was resolved that the minutes of the meeting of 13 September 2012 be signed and confirmed.
C24/12 DRAFT TENANCY STRATEGY

Councillor Owen presented the Draft Tenancy Strategy.  Councillor Melton reiterated that the Strategy will again come before Cabinet for further discussion after the consultation period.


Councillor Jolley voiced concerns that this could drive the private market rates up and he hoped that this had been taken on board.  Councillor Owen replied stating he understood Councillor Jolley's concerns but these amounts were stipulated by the government.


Councillor Butcher asked if long term tenancy is likely to be adjusted immediately to which Councillor Owen replied that it is currently at an optimum level.
