Project update (March 2025)

Fenland District Council is delighted to have been awarded the opportunity to continue progressing with the plans for Wisbech, following the recent update from Government regarding its new regeneration programme, the Plan for Neighbourhoods, which is set to invest up to £20million in Wisbech over the next decade.

We are excited to take the next steps in transforming Wisbech into a vibrant and sustainable town, with an even stronger focus on meeting the needs of our community.

The programme will be overseen by the Plan for Neighbourhoods Board, which consists of the existing Wisbech Town Board members. This Board exists to ensure local issues are the focus of the funding and will act as the key delivery partner alongside Fenland District Council.

We look forward to working closely with partners, stakeholders, and the community over the coming months to bring this revised vision to life. We are committed to creating spaces that foster growth, connection, and opportunity for the people of Wisbech.
