Domestic Homicide Review

This page contains information about Domestic Homicide Reviews (DHRs) carried out by the Fenland Community Safety Partnership. 

A Domestic Homicide Review is a multi-agency review of the circumstances into the death of a person aged 16 or over which has resulted from violence, abuse or neglect by either:

• a person who they were related to
• a person that they were in an intimate personal relationship with
• a member of the same household

Domestic Homicide Reviews do not inquire into how someone died or who is to blame. They are not part of any disciplinary process or criminal investigation. Their purpose is to:

• learn lessons about how local professionals/organisations can better work individually/together to safeguard victims
• identify how changes will be implemented and included within policies/procedures
• prevent domestic violence and homicide and improve responses for all domestic violence victims and their children by working better together
• highlight good practice.

The Fenland Community Safety Partnership conducts Domestic Homicide Reviews using home office guidance. Findings are published to improve transparency of processes in place, across all agencies, to protect victims.

Review reports will be available here for a minimum of 12 months. After this, copies of published reports can be obtained by contacting the Fenland Community Safety Partnership.
