Gambling Permits
You need a permit if you want a gaming machine or equal chance gaming to take place on your premises
Licensed Gaming Machine Permit or Notification
Pubs and alcohol licensed premises are able to have gaming machines on the premises. Gaming machines are also known as fruit or amusement with prizes machines. The machines permitted are Cat C and D.

Club Machine Permit
The club machine permit allows gaming machines in members' clubs, commercial clubs and miners' welfare institutes. Gaming machines are also known as fruit or amusement with prizes machines.
The limits of this permit are up to three B3a, B4, C or D gaming machines.
Permits last for 10 years. An annual fee is payable.
Club Gaming Permit
A club gaming permit allows the following activities in members' clubs, commercial clubs and miners' welfare institutes:
- Gaming machines (also known as fruit machines or amusements with prizes machines), limited to three B3a, B4, C or D gaming machines
- Equal chance gaming. This are games that:
- do not involve playing or staking against a bank; or
- are equally favourable to all participants
Permits last for 10 years. An annual fee is payable.
