Community embraces March's wonky Christmas tree
It's been compared to the leaning tower of Pisa and attracted media interest from across the nation. Now March's famous wonky Christmas tree has been lit up for the festive countdown!
Our Broad Street regeneration contractor, Octavius Ltd, was on hand for the Christmas lights switch-on, which took place on Friday, 24 November.
Octavius donated £2,000 towards the Christmas tree as part of their social value contributions to the community. You can find out more about their social value in their regular newsletters.
A spokesman said: "We're absolutely delighted to have donated £2,000 towards March's Christmas tree and pleased that the community is embracing its wonkiness! We absolutely love it. The March Town Council Christmas Lights Committee and hardworking volunteers have done a terrific job."
