Public notice: Land on the east side of Morley Way, Wimblington
Fenland District Council is pursuing disposal of land on the east side of Morley Way, Wimblington, in accordance with its aspiration to keep the land in public ownership for continued use as a public open space.
Fenland District Council, in accordance with the requirements of the Localism Act 2011, hereby gives notice it intends to dispose of the land on the east side of Morley Way, Wimblington, March, which is listed as an Asset of Community Value on the list of such assets maintained by the Council.
By providing this notification the relevant legislation provides that an interim moratorium period, which expires on Friday, March 13, 2026, is triggered. During this period a community interest group may request in writing (in the format specified by the relevant legislation) to be treated as a potential bidder for the asset.
Should such an application be received (which complies with the legislative requirements) the full moratorium period specified by the legislation will expire on the July 30, 2026.
