Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy

We're inviting members of the public and stakeholders to share their views on our Draft Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy 2024-2029.

The draft strategy sets out how, over the coming five years, Fenland District Council and its partners will work to prioritise the prevention of homelessness and aim to end rough sleeping in the district.

It takes into consideration what has been achieved so far, changes in legislation, and significant nationwide challenges including welfare reform, universal credit changes, the Covid-19 pandemic and the cost of living crisis.

The strategy is designed to deliver services in a way that will help people as soon as possible. It emphasises the importance of getting the right advice and support at the right time, maximising opportunities for early intervention and prevention.

We would like as many views as possible on the draft strategy and the draft strategy Action Plan.

The survey results will be published on our website. Our Councillors will use your feedback when considering the final version of the Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy and Action Plan.
