Boat Moorings
We own and manage temporary stay mooring facilities along the Old River Nene in March and Briggate River in Whittlesey.
The moorings are monitored and enforced by the Council's Street Scene team.
The maximum stay at these moorings is 48 hours, with no return within 24 hours.
Boats staying longer than this period and returning within 24 hours of a previous visit, will be issued with an overstay notice at a cost to the person responsible for the boat of £100, reduced to £70 if paid within 28 days. Each additional 24 hours overstay will attract a further overstay notice.
