Yacht Harbour and Wisbech Port

Find out more about our Port and the new modern Yacht Harbour, including tidal information and attractions nearby.

Port & Harbour

Wisbech Port and Yacht Harbour is a busy commercial shipping Port, situated on the River Nene on the outskirts of Wisbech. The development of the harbour and pontoon mooring facilities has made Wisbech an increasingly popular mooring location to explore the inland waterways of the wash. Wisbech is situated about 25 miles north east of Peterborough and is a market town of significant character and historical importance. Rows of elegant houses line the banks of the River Nene, with North and South Brink deemed two of the finest Georgian Streets in England. Multi-million pound regeneration work continues on the prime Nene Waterfront site which runs parallel to the River Nene, which includes the iconic Boathouse Business Centre and renovation of our Yacht Harbour

Operated and owned by Fenland District Council as the statutory harbour authority for most of the tidal River Nene, Wisbech Port and Yacht Harbour offers a wide variety of marine services. This is despite Fenland not being on the coast. Wisbech Yacht Harbour was one of the first, modern marine facilities for over 100 nautical miles - north or south along the east coast of the UK from the Wash.

Our Harbour Staff are available to help with your passage planning, whether from upstream or seaward. They can advise on optimum times to arrive to make best use of tides, depths of water and air draft. You can contact our Harbour Office on +44 (0) 1945 588 059.
